2011 Parade Rules
1. FOR SAFETY & INSURANCE LIABILITY REASONS, NO OBJECTS ARE TO BE THROWN FROM YOUR ENTRY. YOU MAY WALK BESIDE YOUR ENTRY AND HAND OUT CANDY OR LITERATURE. ANYONE CAUGHT THROWING ITEMS WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE PARADE AND POSSIBLY REMOVED FROM OUR INVITATION LIST.
2. All fire and rescue depts. will be limited to two units (Culpeper Fire and Rescue excluded).
3. All other participants will be limited to one (1) unit not to exceed 60 feet.
4. Public displays of alcohol or reckless behavior will not be tolerated and you will be removed from the parade.
5. Only DMV registered, motorized vehicles will be allowed in the parade with the exception of farm tractors pulling wagons.
6. NO STOPPING IN FRONT OF THE JUDGE’S STAND (exception – Marching Bands)
7. Culpeper Company 1 units will not be judged.
8. NO HORSES ARE ALLOWED -(except those pulling a cart or wagon) Owners are responsible for immediate waste clean-up from the animal.
9. Winners are responsible for obtaining their trophies or prizes.
10. This will be a SILENT PARADE, no fire or rescue units will be allowed to operate sirens.
